7 Stripe Lesbian Sunset Pride Flag
The original version of the sunset flag, with all seven of its stripes. At 90cm x 150cm it is big enough to cover a bedroom wall, fill a window or fly from a balcony, and it makes a great cape for a parade or Pride. 😉
The orange-pink “sunset” lesbian flag was attributed to Tumblr blogger Emily Gwen in 2018, and was popularised by a Tumblr poll seeking an official flag for the lesbian community. According to Gwen, the seven colours stand for:
- Dark orange: gender non-conformity
- Orange: independence
- Light orange: community
- White: unique relationships to womanhood
- Pink: serenity and peace
- Dusty pink: love and sex
- Dark rose: femininity
