Rainbow Pride Flag
The original Pride flag, and one of our two best-selling flags. The 90cm x 150cm size is big enough to cover a bedroom wall, fill a window or fly from a balcony, and it makes a great cape for a parade or Pride. 😉 The 150cm x 240cm size is the one for a proper flagpole.
The rainbow flag was devised by artist Gilbert Baker with Lynn Segerblom, James McNamara and other activists, and made its debut in San Francisco in 1978. Baker’s original had eight colours, but since 1979 the most common version has been the six stripes you see here: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. It is flown with the red stripe on top, as it would be in a natural rainbow.
