Touko Valio Laaksonen, who signed his work Tom of Finland, drew confident, powerful gay men from the 1950s onward, at a time when that was illegal almost everywhere. His work is now held in museum collections and his foundation still licenses it. This is one of those drawings, officially licensed onto a sock.
It is a bold print and it is not subtle, which is rather the point.
